I am indebted to Nancy for the writing and editing support she provided. She brought a great eye to her work and used her excellent analytical skills to understand our needs and then work to address them in ways that made the most sense. Nancy also went above-and-beyond in providing editing support in the midst of some time-off she had planned, and this support ended up playing an important role in a huge win for our organization. As I said, I am indebted. And on top of all that, she is a very n… Read more
Nancy captured the essence of what we were trying to communicate. We wanted to streamline our message by keeping the critical information and eliminating what was unnecessary and repetitive. It’s hard to do that with your own work—someone on the outside can take a fresh view and Nancy did that.
I have had the pleasure of working with Nancy through two different associations. First with Entrepreneurial Advantage while working on Project CAP, and then later when I sub-contracted some work to her through my current position with Insurance Marketing Partners. I’ve found Nancy to be very professional and easy to work with. She has a good understanding of the insurance business and can write good copy. I have no reservations in recommending Nancy to others.
Nancy has a fine mind, wit, integrity, and skill as a writer. She has the capacity to both digest the details and appreciate the nuances as she plies her trade, whether for a technical undertaking or for something more creative.
Nancy Burke Hupp is a very good writer and editor. She knows the value of a well-written phrase and is capable of writing on many different subjects. If you need a good editor or someone who can give you compelling content, Nancy is the person for you.
As a writer and editor myself, I know the value of a second pair of eyes. I’ve hired Nancy to improve my articles, blog posts and CLE materials. Nancy consistently delivers a great edit that catches mistakes, asks great questions and adds creative ideas — helping me to elevate my game. She’s fast, smart and great to work with, and I will definitely hire her again.
Nancy was able to learn our project needs quickly and synthesize down a number of documents for us. Her best asset is her ability to take lengthy, wordy documents and boil them down in simple, easy to read paragraphs. She is really great at taking a concept and giving you a simple way to describe it or an easy way to read. Furthermore, I appreciated her honest input and straightforward feedback.
Nancy Hupp has that rare combination of a full understanding of subject area and the ability to translate the essentials for a lay audience. Her skill as a writer enables her to convey that essence to readers. Nancy’s sense of humor is a bonus. Her use of examples and analogies make her writing informative and entertaining. Another bonus: Nancy is a delight to work with.
Nancy Hupp’s most enviable talent isn’t just an ability to write well, but an ability to write prolifically and compellingly in a demanding and often ambiguous environment. Her dedication to creating great work under any circumstances allowed her to produce some amazing content for Project CAP — including some of the most engaging concepts and mind-grabbing opening paragraphs I’ve ever read. My only regret is that her time with us was far too short.
Nancy took long legal-sized forms and came up with a style guide to make them more readable. These were the MSBA Real Property Forms, the purchase agreement forms for residential real estate. Very dense and wordy, and full of styles that make it more difficult to read. I was chair of the committee, and Nancy met with us over several meetings to show us how the changes would enhance the look of the document. Never lost her patience with us slow learners!
